One of London’s biggest free events, the flagship festival will feature live theatre, more than 25 artists and bands and over 30 different food stalls, with Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club announced today as the headline act. ☀️👪👨👩👧👨👨👧👧
The Summer Festival is back for its third year and has got loads of new events and activities to complement old favourites like the infamous 100m waterslide (images and video available of people hurtling down the hill in a dingy), the secret forest silent disco, outdoor cinema and Great British Pram Race, featuring some truly pimped up prams.
There’s plenty for the kids too – after a triumphant sold out Family Rave last year, Big Fish Little Fish are back with another. There’s also a funfair, graffiti workshops and much more to keep the little ones entertained.
Theatre highlights include an interactive theatre show for families by Chickenshed and comedy from Jackson’s Lane presents Lost in Translation Circus. Ahead of the opening of the Victorian Theatre next year, this emphasis on performance art is all about building excitement and drawing a brand new audience to Ally Pally.
