Budweiser x Boiler Room’s ‘Discover What’s Brewing’ event series has spotlighted some of the globe’s most iconic DJs and burgeoning artists— across a diverse mix of scenes and subcultures in city locations all over the world. 🌏 🔊

The series comes to Boiler Room’s hometown, London, headlined by New York native Princess Nokia alongside an exciting home grown line-up, South Londoners S4U, BORN N BREAD AND Manara, curated by Princess Nokia herself.

Flying in from New York, rapper Princess Nokia has been making waves globally with her unique blend of tribal beats, with trip hop and R&B. Praised by the likes of The FADER, who produced a documentary about her – Vibe and VICE, her album ‘1992’ was tipped by Rolling Stone as one of its “15 Greatest Albums You Didn’t Hear in 2016”. Hugely influential on Instagram (over 300K followers) Princess Nokia also hosts her own weekly web – radio show as part of her feminist art collective Smart Girls Club. Budweiser x Boiler Room will see her share the stage with women from similar creative backgrounds.

South London’s S4U are a collective of creatives, fronted by vocalist Rosita Bonita and producer Prinz George. Together they pull together influences from 90’s R&B, avant garde electronica, hip hop and garage, with visuals that vary from lo-fi homages to dance-centric videos for the likes of TLC, to Lynchian fantasies.

With a self-published yearly zine, slots at some of the summer’s biggest festivals, and events curated by themselves at institutions like the ICA, the V&A BORN N BREAD are a creative collective of friends. Their talents span across photography, DJing, videography, styling and more – with a DIY mantra, creating their own lane and opportunities

Night Slugs and Fader To Mind affiliated DJ and producer Manara, who will be playing on the night, have played for the two labels on both sides of the pond. The South Londoner now has her own show BBC AZN Network on Radar Radio.

As a truly international brand, Budweiser is giving rising local DJs, bands, hip- hop acts and more the chance to export their fresh sounds to the rest of the world. This music series, in partnership with Boiler Room, sees the brand step up and support the up-and-coming artists who embody what Budweiser is all about, introducing people to an entirely new world of music around the globe.

Since its debut in July 2016, the series has taken in shows in Mumbai, Santiago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Brussels, Seoul, Hanoi, Denver, Rio and Miami, where Danny Tenaglia, Actress, Josey Rebelle and Nines provided the soundtrack for a night dedicated to exploring the foundations of US house and techno. Hip-hop icon Jazzy Jeff took to the decks in Philadelphia, while in Bengaluru for example, Fractal Fantasy founders and audiovisual savants Zora Jones & Sinjin Hawke were the focus of a bill that also showcased the talents of footwork star Jlin, and Indian electronica acts like Kumail and Aerate Sound.
