Cigarette Burns Cinema: returning forgotten and obscure cult classics to the cinema screens of London.

READ THE FINE PRINT… YOU MAY HAVE JUST MORTGAGED YOUR LIFE!

Following CB’s super successful and sold-out Double Bill series at the Prince Charles Cinema (The Dead Will Rise: The Beyond x Dead & Buried, Lacerated Lovers: My Bloody Valentine x The Prowler) they return to the Rio Cinema after a recent screening of David Cronenberg’s iconic Videodrome. Lucio Fulci’s gothic horror The House By The Cemetery is the third installment of the unofficial Gates of Hell Trilogy, and it’s a rare treat that it’s being shown on the big screen. This is a FULLY UNCUT and HD transfer of the film.

“Confusing, nonsensical, spooky and bloody The House by the Cemetery is one of Fulci’s finest outings. What lies in the basement? Who is the little girl that only Bob can see? Why does Bob’s voice sound like an adult is talking in a squeaky voice? These questions and many more may not be answered.
But rest assured, this is pure gold.” – Cigarette Burns Cinema

After the screening the bar will be open until 2.30am, with Rough Trade DJ Spencer Hickman providing the perfect music to fuel your post-film hangout. And to add to it all, Psychotronic will be on hand with loads of DVDs and other related goodies for your perusal and purchase, hooray!
