JEAN PAINLEVÉ AND THE OCTOPUS
Discover the world of Jean Painlevé with The Octopus and The Love Life of the Octopus. Painlevé’s avant-garde underwater films reveal the wonders of the natural world in intricate detail. His films inspired artists including Picasso. Films will be screened on a loop.

Ever wondered if you could give a talk in a public gallery? Now you can! Our Visitor Experience team and the Uniqlo Ten Minute Talkers will guide you in giving your response to an artwork.

Late: Flux gender fluidity theme at Tate Britain on Friday 1 December 2017

The perfect opportunity for the curiously minded to explore the gallery after hours. Take your friends, check out an amazing mix of artworks, have a drink and a bite to eat. It’s free to get in, a great atmosphere with a relaxed immersive mix of sound and visuals, hands-on making activities and intriguing discussion all curated exclusively by 15−25 year olds from Tate Collective London.

Explore and question how gender constructs influence our everyday lives. The last Late at Tate Britain of the year explores the theme of gender fluidity. Come how you feel – femme, masc, a bit of both, or neither. Join a packed evening of sound, visuals and discussion, all inspired by the Tate collection.
