Berliner Pilsner presents: The best place to enjoy the Euros. Off the beaten track and nestled under a railway arch, Berliner Pilsner is asking fans of the beautiful game to place their trust in The Soccer Lounge where the beer flows and the football’s always on – this is the ultimate way to experience the Euros.

The lounge is taking up residence for one month in the best of venues, bringing the outside in, at a vault beneath London Bridge. Bringing a decidedly Eurotrash vibe to the bar, Berliner Pilsner is calling all to celebrate the best of football past and present – the goals and the glory, the misery and the mullets. Come on down and take a punt on your team. It might not be so bad after all.

And for the VIPs Berliner is providing an extra level of synthesised German-based enjoyment – Ze Deck Chair Experience. The 12 most exclusive seats in the house guarantee a good time, whether you’re winning or losing, as Berliner provides towels (to mark your spot, of course), sunscreen and a round of beers to get you going. Can’t say fairer than that, can you?

Berliner Pilsner has been a stalwart of Berlin culture since its introduction to the German Democratic Republic in 1963 and is brewed according to the German purity law and finished with yeast from its own pure breed. The beer’s label boasts the notorious Berlin Bear, a unique mascot and symbol of the capital that appears across Berlin in the form of ‘Berlin Buddy Bears’ – a symbol of tolerance and openness.

Amen – Grassroots Football is a photography exhibition showcasing the work of Jessica Hilltout. Jessica spent ten months travelling across South and West Africa capturing the importance of football to the African people. In Africa football is like a religion, it is the glue that binds village to village, team to team, tribe to tribe and people to people. The world’s media has left Africa after the World Cup; this is the story of the people who still live their life through football. The Green Soccer Journal, along with curator Shonagh Marshall, have made it possible for Amen – Grassroots Football to be exhibited in London.

The exhibition coincide with the release of Jessica Hilltout’s recent book of the same title.   The book pays homage to Africa and the passion of football on the continent. Order the book HERE.
