Our favourite Brick Lane drinks and games venue is the gift that keeps giving. They recently upgraded three of their crazy golf courses (nine hole) and now have upgraded bars!

Encounter fighting bear cages, scrapyard slides, creepy clowns, treehouse bars, UV garage section and loads more in the unique space.

Choose to play one of the courses PABLO (Polluted Paradise), BOZO (Circus Freaks), GARY (Scrapyard Challenge) or BRUCE (Old School Movie Mash-Up).

There are four bars, serving banging cocktails, like the Golf Lundgren or Who’s Your Caddy and tasty snacks including hot dogs, nachos and popcorn.

Junkyard Golf Club London may have landed a little less than a year ago but its impact on the city has been huge. The party person’s must-do has welcomed over 200,000 players through the doors, clocking up nearly 250,000 games of twisted, pun-packed crazy golf between them. Celebrity spots at the venue have included Jonathan Ross, Tom Hardy, members of Little Mix and Bastille, Jack Garratt, Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick and more – further evidence that this is the place to be. Not to mention the many many party cocktails coiffed and hotdogs consumed at Junkyard’s home of The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane.

New courses:

  • Pablo transports players from a treehouse, past a deep-cave-bear-wrestling-cage via a Rihanna themed forest, obviously. Not to mention a stopover at Rio-On-Sea.
  • Bozo is not for the fainthearted given its circus freak inhabitants. Winner takes all in Junkyard’s dark homage to all things carnival. A Ferris wheel, hall of mirrors and some damn scary clowns – time to run away from the circus.
  • Gary is firmly implanted in Junkyard’s roots, a good old-fashioned scrapyard challenge. Tyre loop-the loops, a salvaged slide, Gary’s UV garage rave and more.

These new kids on the block join the previously installed Blockbuster-themed forth course, Bruce. Nine holes of Oscar-winning proportions skew the plots of legendary movies, move through prison cells, crocodile infested territories and Mount Mordor on a quest for glory.

Six upgraded bar areas. Two ‘bunker’ bars, plus four perfectly placed course-side for mid-game refueling, offer up a full selection of drinks, slushies and party cocktails served in big red house-party style cups. The food offering has been given a fairground spin with salted caramel popcorn and pick n’ mix now available alongside hotdogs and nachos.

Ever had the urge to play golf, and thought ‘naah I don’t live near a golf course’ well we bring you Urban Golf.

The guys at Urban Golf invited us down for a swing and we got shown how to tee off, they have three locations in central London: Soho, Kensington and Smithfields.
We visited the Kensington branch and was taken care of. We loved the suave decor and size of the venue.
There are many simulators so it shouldn’t be a problem of it getting busy.
Lessons can be booked with trained pros, to improve your game or if your just starting out get a intro.

We are also running a competition to win a round of golf or a lesson with a pro.
Just answer this question

What would you call a hole in one in golf scoring terms?

Send us the answer to competitions@informedlondon.com

Check out some of the photos we snapped.
