Ranging from 1914 to the present day, the exhibition is a unique Kemistry-curated retrospective of some of the most iconic and exciting moments in graphic design history.

Artists include Alan Fletcher, Fredun Shapur, Hans Hillman, Ken Garland, Lou Dorfsman, Seymour Chwast and Milton Glaser, Saul Bass, Anthony Burrill, James Joyce, Jean Jullien, Geoff McFetridge, Parra, Rob Lowe, Ryan Todd, Stefan Glerum, Zero Per Zero, Experimental Jetset, Geneviève Gauckler, plus anonymous works from important private collections of classic design images, including Polish cinema posters of the 1960s and the propaganda images of the Latin American radicals OSPAAL.

For ten years London’s Kemistry Gallery has been the UK’s leading exhibition space for cutting-edge graphic design, supporting and showcasing the brightest emerging talents (including Parra, UVA, Ben Eine and Yoni Alter) and classic masters (from Saul Bass and Ken Garland to Milton Glaser and Seymour Chwast) alike.

For their new exhibition Beach London have invited six artists to produce a piece of artwork inspired by a vintage arcade machine from the ‘Golden Era’ of coin-operated gaming.

Cabinets on show will be Pac Man, Galaxian, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Donkey Kong and Street Fighter II. Exhibiting artists include Gemma Shiel (Lazy Oaf), Anthony Burrill, Pete Fowler, Ellie Andrews, Rosy Nicholas and Malarky.

During the show Beach will be recording the top scores on each machine. At the end, each cabinet’s top-scorer will win the artwork that accompanies it.

Our favourite contemporary graphic arts festival returns for an 11-day celebration of graphic art, design and illustration.  The festival showcases and sells original artworks and limited-edition prints from the industry’s best talent, each day the festival will be running an exciting mix of quirky family workshops, lively evening events and creative forums.  Some of the artists contributing to this year’s programme include Guardian regulars Modern Toss and the award-winning animation studio Aardman, who will host Shaun the Sheep model-making workshops.

Festival Passes allow unlimited entry into Pick Me Up and events within the Embankment Galleries, 18-28 April (subject to capacity). Please note this does not include talks in the Screening Room.

Typo Factory is a show by a graphic design collective consisting of second year BA Graphic & Media Design: Typo/Graphic students from the London College of Communication. Entirely produced and designed by them, it is an opportunity to see young creatives embracing a multitude of thoughtful outcomes.

Restitution Press
is a hand-printed newspaper from Los Angeles, incorporating photography, graphic design and illustration. Founded by Ryan Graeff, the paper showcases the latest artwork by him and his network of affiliated artists.

Graeff’s Bandit character is a well known sight on the streets of Los Angeles, and the street art influence is evident in his brilliant studio work. For the show at LAVA Gallery, Graeff has sent us a selection of pages from the latest edition of Restitution Press, along with a stack of prints by him and 2 other members of his posse: Abcnt and Jonas Lara.

Oscar Bolton Green presents ‘Football Stadiums’ Book Launch and Exhibition:

Notting Hill Arts Club is pleased to announce an exhibition of illustrations to coincide with the launch of Oscar Bolton Green’s new book ‘Football Stadiums.’ Off the back of ‘Bird Beak Book’ (Edizioni Corraini), Oscar has put together a limited edition risograph printed book, in collaboration with Rolling Sea. Ever since watching ‘Football Italia’ as a child, Oscar has had a passion for stadiums and their unique character.

In his latest book, Oscar depicts some of his favourite football arenas from around Europe. Oscar recently graduated from Camberwell College of Arts and since then has been working as a freelance illustrator.
