Now in its third year, back bigger and still independent, featuring a series of gigs around the UK.

This year’s Ambassadors are Mercury Prize Shortlisted Artist Wolf Alice who are taking over from Frank Turner (2015) and Colin Greenwood (2014).

Artists performing over the week include Everything Everything, Matthew E. White, Mallory Knox, Childhood, Misty Miller, Beans on Toast, Eliza and the Bear, Saffron (Republica) Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, Georgia, Get Inuit and Edwyn Collins who is following up his involvement last year. As well as playing live, he is also curating the week at Hebden Bridge Trades Club.

Other curating partners include Rob da Bank and Sunday Best, BBC Introducing, PIAS, Domino Records and The Joe Strumner Foundation with a DJ set from Shikari Sound System. More artists will be announced across social media in the coming weeks.

The inaugural Sundance London is finally here! Since it’s beginnings in 1978 as the Utah/US film festival through its name change to Sundance in 1985, the festival has been integral for showcasing and supporting independent filmmaking. 14 films have been selected from the 120 screened at Sundance 2012 in January, to make their UK premieres.

Thursday opens the festival with 3 documentary screenings and 3 dramatic screenings across the Cineworld screens of The O2, beginning from 5.30pm, including:

Following the evening films, there will be An Evening with Robert Redford and T Bone Burnett who will discuss the finely hewn craft of matching music to image. Introduced and interviewed live by British screenwriter and novelist Nick Hornby, they will share their recollections of achieving great musical moments with the many filmmakers, actors and musicians they’ve collaborated with throughout their storied careers.
