Brixton Disco Festival at Electric Brixton on Saturday 13 October 2018

Following the inaugural sold out Brixton Disco Festival back in April, the disco extravaganza is back for a one-off special event, at the iconic Electric Brixton this October. Revellers can again expect high levels of production & stage spectacles to compliment an unmissable night of Disco! 🎉 🎶

Featuring two of the biggest disco DJs on the planet, Dimitri From Paris and Late Nite Tuff Guy will be heading things up, supported by Pablo Contraband and a takeover of Room 2 by one of London’s finest disco collectives, Stevie Wonderland.

Disco doyen Dimitri From Paris is one of the most prolific disco producers and DJs of our time, having created numerous masterpiece across his career. Where other DJs shy away from defining their sound for fear of being pigeon-holed, Dimitri has no qualms about being known as a ‘disco king’.

Late Nite Tuff Guy is a new breed of disco vigilante, peddling the most credible of disco edits and accruing some serious acclaim from an illustrious roll call of industry people in the know. Greg Wilson, Jackmaster and Dimitri from Paris have been regularly playing a handful of LNTG tracks in any given set and their ongoing support is testament to the quality of his work.

For the past few years The Doctor’s Orders have had the privilege of throwing one of the most exciting free parties of the summer thanks to the Royal Festival Hall. 🔊 😁

Taking over the terrace with it’s view of the river Thames and London in all it’s glory, London’s kings of Hip-Hop have thrown the most spectacular parties of the year.

This year is set to be no exception as they invite young and old to join in celebrating 45 years of Hip-Hop with London’s finest.

A combination of DJs, dancers, beatbox performance and workshop and the host will take you chronologically through the day of Kool Herc’s first party back in August 1973 through Hip-Hop’s fledgling years and golden era right up to today’s hottest rap.

With elements to be enjoyed by all ages this is the perfect bank holiday Monday experience for everyone from the ageing b-boy to the fledgling Beastie Boy or Missy Elliot!

Red Bull Music at Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday 26 August 2018

Returning to Notting Hill Carnival for the 10th year with its biggest programme of events to date! Paying respect to Carnival’s rich heritage, prolific present and emerging future. 🎉🎤🔊

Along with hosting an open-to-all sound system on Sunday, Red Bull Music will be teaming up with Mangrove to mark the local mas band’s 40th year anniversary, bringing the biggest float on the carnival parade on bank holiday Monday!

A line-up of dancehall, afro bashment and UK afrobeats biggest names will descend onto Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park for the return of the Red Bull Music Sound System. The lineup includes likes of leading UK afrobeats star Maleek Berry, Warning Crew’s First Lady Lisa Mercedez and Leicester-hailing dancehall rapper, Trillary Banks. Afro B and Team Salut will also make their sound system comeback, with their collaborative Afrowave Sound set, joined this year by their very own dance crew.

Designed especially for this year’s parade, Red Bull Music will be partnering with Mangrove to bring their biggest (and loudest) ever float truck to the official carnival route the following day. Alongside hordes of Mangrove dancers, the float will also house performances from the likes of UK carnival mainstays, The Heatwave, Trinidad’s Patrice Rodgers and self-proclaimed ‘Prince of Soca’ Iwer Geroge.

Halloween Cluedo at Library (private members club) on Saturday 28 October 2017

Four rooms of music, six murder weapons, and all your favourite characters from the board game Cluedo will be gathering for an epic Halloween party. Dress as your favourite Cluedo character or come in your most outrageous Halloween attire and prepare for a night where dancing, singing and murder will combine in a brilliantly fun Cluedo experience, hosted by the marvellously mischievous, Bang Bang. 🎃 🤡

Guests will be let loose to explore and discover the interactive shenanigans hosted by each of the Cluedo characters over the three floors of Library. Each space will be devoted to party madness but at some point the scene will turn deadly with a murder played out in magnificent Cluedo style. Will it be Professor Plum in the Basement with the Candlestick? Or Miss Scarlett in the Boardroom with the Lead Piping? It’s up to you to be in the right place at the right time in order to crack the case!

Arrive between 7pm and 9pm for a free welcome cocktail and to gain Bang Bang’s inside tips on how to best play the game. From there, the night will go into full swing with the main game going through to 2am so don’t be late – or it just might be your funeral…

Chris Reed, also known as Plastician (formerly Plasticman), the DJ / Producer and owner of Terrorhythm Recordings.

Plastician is a name synonymous with groundbreaking and forward thinking electronic music. In his early years he was most noted for his involvement at the forefront of establishing both London’s Grime scene, and the Dubstep scene. He is unique in the sense that he is the only artist who is recognised as a true pioneer of both sounds from their humble beginnings. In more recent times, he has been globally recognised for his efforts to unearthing new and exciting music without boundaries, showcasing it in his sets and through releases on his record label, Terrorhythm Recordings, which is responsible recently for introducing the world to acts such as AWE, GANZ and Louis Futon among others. Never one to be put in a box, Plastician specializes in finding music that joins the dots between all that is exciting in bass music across the board.
