This year there is an immersive experience, which will place visitors into a plant-filled tropical paradise with inspirational displays. The Urban Room Set installations will demonstrate cutting-edge indoor planting design for the home and any interior space. A central Indoor Pond, along with an exhibition of specially commissioned plant pot designs by Central St Martins students will be on display. There’ll also be a Virtual Reality RHS experience, and images on display from the RHS Photographic Competition 2017.

Whatever your level of plant knowledge may be, there will be plenty of experts on hand to advise on suitable plants for your space, as well as providing essential care tips to keep them healthy. In addition, some of London’s hottest new horticultural brands will be offering exclusive and unique collections of pots and accessories to help you create your own impressive display.

Seminars and talks

Featuring seminars from leading landscape designers Nigel Dunnett and Cleve West, who will each be presenting their own views on the importance of planting in urban environments. There will also be talks from experts on the subjects of urban gardening including RHS Big Ideas Small Spaces author Tony Wood and Telegraph gardening columnist Alice Vincent.

There will be free curated tours of our Lindley Library, which will include a visit to the Gardeners’ World at 50 exhibit. This exhibition marks the 50th anniversary of the programme and provides an in-depth look at its influence upon gardening trends since the 1960s.

We will also be tempting the senses with a range of street food providing a fabulous variety of catering for every taste, including exclusively plant-based options!

“I think it’s all about love gone wrong,” says Barnaby Barford, when contemplating the true meaning of the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’. For centuries, the extremes of human desire or motivation have been articulated by the seven words: Pride, Sloth, Gluttony, Wrath, Lust, Envy and Avarice.
