Music:
Whether it’s drum and bass that gets your heart racing, or soulful melodies that help you find your flow, the diverse music line-up at Balance Festival has a set for every session. They’ve got everything from old-school rock-n-roll, to R&B, deep house, techno, and ska. Work up a sweat or relax and chill out to the best tunes around.

Yoga @ Trip Space Projects / ongoing

TIME AND PLACE:

Doors: all week

@ TripSpace Projects, Arches 339-340, Acton Mews, London E8 4EA

Around £10 per class

Trip Space Projects is a cultural centre focusing on progressive forms of dance, movement, music, and physical theatre with an overarching vision of social engagement. We are situated in two converted railway arches in Acton Mews, just off the Regents Canal in Haggerston Hackney.

The beautiful TripStudio, in addition to hosting regular nights of cutting edge and experimental performances, offers a full schedule of yoga and dance classes. The regular workshops and festivals, led by top European practitioners, are extremely popular with people of all skills and experience.

Key classes:

Yoga and Sound Bath
An hour of restorative Hatha Yoga followed by a blissful Sound Bath. An opportunity to connect to your mind and body while balancing your energy levels. These sessions are an ideal tool for stress reduction, stimulating the glandular system and observing the emotional landscape.

Budokon
An innovative style of yoga fresh from the US with a focus on both physical agility and fitness and inner wellbeing and peace. The style relies upon the utilisation of ‘instinct’ to bind the separate aspects of yoga, martial arts and meditation into a fluid movement that is distinct from the sum of it parts.

Yoga and Light
Combining a light performance with a physical Asana practice. Artists Somang will create live fluid imagery to add a visual element to the meditation part of the practice. The wonderful exploration will unite disciplines with sensitive and intrigue.

Love the outdoors? Love yoga well look what we have here….

One New Change has joined forces with neighbours Blue Cow Yoga – the City of London’s first dedicated yoga studio – to host two exclusive classes on its stunning roof terrace, overlooking the spectacular dome of St Paul’s Cathedral, to raise money for The Prince’s Trust.

Forget military fitness in the park or pounding the pavements on your weekly run – up to fifty fitness fans can take the trend for outdoor exercise to new heights by taking in the sights of the London skyline during this one-of-a-kind yoga session.

In an entirely new take on retail therapy, the classes at the City of London’s landmark shopping and leisure destination are a truly one-off opportunity to align your chakras in the open air, right in the heart of the historic City.

Enthusiastic yogis will love the energising ashtanga class, but you don’t need to know your lotus from your downward dog to take part – the tranquil flow class is a perfect place to start for beginners. There are just 50 spaces available – 25 for each class – so don’t meditate on it for too long!

To help you stay relaxed and refreshed after your session, the team at Wasabi will be giving away a free frozen yogurt to everyone who attends on the day and yogis will also be treated to free skincare products by Balance Me.
