Doors: All-day events

@ All around London

International Women’s Day 2011 marks the 101st edition of such day in world history, and it is being celebrated today and for the rest of this week (Official date 8th March 2011).

Around the world International Women’s Day is a national holiday to pay tribute to the economic, political and social achievements of women past present and future. It is celebrated by giving gifts and flowers to women of all shapes and colours. Although it is a global celebration of women, it is also a day to reflect on women who are still in need of help.

A global network of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.
