Tiger and Empire Magazine reveal some of independent British cinema’s hidden gems.

The second film in the series is ‘Heartless’ – a menacing and magical psychological horror, set in director Philip Ridley’s home turf of East London. Starring Jim Sturgess who won the Best Actor Award at the 2010 Fantasporto Film Festival for this role, Clemence Poesy, Noel Clarke Joseph Mawle.

Heartless blends magic realism and social commentary in a very enticing and sometimes surprising way. Using the housing estates and gangland haunts of urban Britain, where, especially at night, violence and chaos seem to reign.

Empire and Tiger are providing ticket winners the chance to re-visit this work in the unique surroundings of the Soho Hotel with a pre-film drinks reception included.
