Films on Fridges is a new pop-up cinema celebrating Hackney’s famed Fridge Mountain. This summer, Films on Fridges resurrects East London’s Fridge Mountain – once Europe’s largest mound of discarded refrigerators – in all its monumental glory for three weeks to create a distinctive cinematic experience. In theme with their new neighbour – the Olympic Park – the films are distinctly sports-centric, from blockbuster hits to critically acclaimed indie gems that are sure to get your competitive juices flowing.

Documentary and fiction films include

Fire in Babylon (2010), Mervyn Day (1976), Pelada (2010), Escape to Victory (1981), Breaking Away (1979), Cool Runnings (1993), Pumping Iron (1977), East End Shorts Night, Rio Breaks (2009), Slapshot (1977), Chariots of Fire (1981)
