Red Bull Music at Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday 26 August 2018

Returning to Notting Hill Carnival for the 10th year with its biggest programme of events to date! Paying respect to Carnival’s rich heritage, prolific present and emerging future. 🎉🎤🔊

Along with hosting an open-to-all sound system on Sunday, Red Bull Music will be teaming up with Mangrove to mark the local mas band’s 40th year anniversary, bringing the biggest float on the carnival parade on bank holiday Monday!

A line-up of dancehall, afro bashment and UK afrobeats biggest names will descend onto Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park for the return of the Red Bull Music Sound System. The lineup includes likes of leading UK afrobeats star Maleek Berry, Warning Crew’s First Lady Lisa Mercedez and Leicester-hailing dancehall rapper, Trillary Banks. Afro B and Team Salut will also make their sound system comeback, with their collaborative Afrowave Sound set, joined this year by their very own dance crew.

Designed especially for this year’s parade, Red Bull Music will be partnering with Mangrove to bring their biggest (and loudest) ever float truck to the official carnival route the following day. Alongside hordes of Mangrove dancers, the float will also house performances from the likes of UK carnival mainstays, The Heatwave, Trinidad’s Patrice Rodgers and self-proclaimed ‘Prince of Soca’ Iwer Geroge.
