Instagram pop up shop at Shorts Gardens from Friday 5 October until Saturday 6 October 2018

Instagram is opening a pop-up shop in Covent Garden with six popular UK Instagram brands. Your’ll be able to meet and chat to the founders on both days! A shopping experience like no other!

The six brands are:
Fashion, @RIXO & @neverfullydressed
Skincare, Hæckels @madeinmargate
Jewellery, @carrie_elizabeth_jewellery
Kids clothing, @scampanddude
Gifting, @oh_squirrel

At the exclusive two-day event some of the most exciting fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands on Instagram including RIXO, Never Fully Dressed and Carrie Elizabeth will showcase capsule collections within an achingly-Instagrammable venue.

The full list includes:
Digital-first fashion brand RIXO; started by two best friends Henrietta Rix & Orlagh McCloskey from a London living room, the business has built an army of 121k Instagram fans thanks to its vintage inspired, hand-painted prints and #HumansofRixo movement.

Womenswear brand @neverfullydressed, known for its effortlessly chic prints and cult shapes. Their inclusive approach and refreshing style videos have gained the brand an impressive international following of over 230k Instagrammers.

Skincare and wild fragrance specialist Hæckels, who create unique and innovative products from natural ingredients sourced from the British coastline and have built a 15k-strong Instagram following.

Inspiring kids (and grown ups!) clothing brand @scampanddude which began life when founder Jo was separated from her children undergoing brain surgery. She was inspired to create a brand that helps kids feel stronger when apart from their loved ones. The brand is now stocked in Liberty and Harrods and has just been awarded ‘Kids Brand of the Year’ by Drapers. They have 72.2k followers on Instagram.

@carrie_elizabeth_jewellery founded three years ago by an ex jewellery buyer who saw a gap in the market for affordable, beautiful, demi-fine jewellery using real diamonds and semi-precious stones. They now have a following of 40k.

Handmade stationery and gifting brand @oh_squirrel which was born from founder Katie spotting a gap in the market for tasteful and fun cards and accessories, which quickly grew the brand’s Instagram following to over 15k. The brand – which has been called a “millennial dream” – is now stocked in Fenwicks and Fortnum & Mason.

As well as browsing the rails and sampling products, shoppers will have a chance to hear first-hand from the founders about what it takes to build and manage a business on Instagram.

For the first time ever, menswear will have its own fashion week in London as ‘London Collections: Men’ arrives in the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden, a hub for men’s fashion brands.

Running from 15th to 17th June, ‘London Collections: Men’ is a development of the Men’s day at London Fashion Week and will emphasise both the creative and commercial importance of Britain’s brands and emerging talent as well as the rich cultural landscape that contributes to the inspiration and success of this area.

As London’s brightest menswear stars, British heritage brands and international names showcase their acclaimed collections at the exclusive Hospital Club on Endell Street, shoppers can experience a taste of the fashion action at the ‘Seven Dials Presents’ pop up shop showcasing designers including Noel Stewart, Martine Rose, Alex Mattsson and Astrid Anderson from 14th – 20th June at 15 Shorts Gardens in Seven Dials.

From the 15th – 19th June, British menswear brand TOBEFRANK will unveil their SS13 Collection to the public at a new pop up shop at 1 -3 Shelton Street, Seven Dials. Created by up and coming designer Frances Frank, the collection brings together a strong, bright colour palate and a versatile, inter-changeable menswear line appealing to the modern gentleman.

Nearby the recently renovated Mercer Street Hotel on Monmouth Street will be the official hotel for London Collections guests and male shoppers wanting to absorb the fashion atmosphere can indulge in a specially created Gentleman’s three-course menu and cocktail at the hotel’s Dial Bar and restaurant. Start the meal with a signature gentleman’s cocktail such as an Orchard Old Fashioned and a Hemingway daiquiri, followed by dishes such as seared calves liver with onion and thyme puree, rib eyed steak served with chips and peppercorn sauce, and bitter chocolate tart with kumquat marmalade and cream – for £33.50.

Whilst in Seven Dials, shop for a diverse range of men’s styles and looks at the independent boutiques, heritage brands, British labels and grooming salons in the area. For heritage inspired fashion head to Fred Perry’s concept store on Earlham Street, which stocks limited edition and collaboration apparel and accessories or nearby Topman General Store for brands including Levi’s Vintage, leathers from Fleet Ilya, underwear from Under, knitwear from John Smedley and Pendleton shirts.

For authentic British menswear, visit Baracuta on Shorts Gardens – creator of the original G9 Harrington jacket as worn by Steve McQueen and Frank Sinatra. Nearby on Monmouth Street is independent brand Albam, the British modern crafted clothing company renowned for their style of simple, honest products created with great fabrics and neighboring Wolsey established in Britain in 1755, showcasing an array of wardrobe staples each reworking iconic vintage styles.

Stop off at Unconditional+, a style-savvy destination for cutting-edge, luxury basics in their standalone store on Monmouth Street or discover an original, vintage look at The Vintage Showroom – housed in the former FW Collins & Sons Ironmongers, specialising in vintage denim and work wear apparel. Alternatively for fast-paced fashion, denim styles and wardrobe staples, visit the likes of Urban Outfitters, Diesel, Pepe Jeans, and American Apparel, along with Office Shoes, Superga and Toms for footwear.

For premium male grooming, Murdock, the official hair stylists for Mr Start’s London Collections show at The Hospital Club, has a flagship barber shop on Monmouth Street offering traditional wet shaves, beard trims, hair-cuts and shoe polishes for the modern gentleman. Whilst in store, discover luxury accessories range including ties, handkerchiefs and leather overnight bags. The Nickel Spa on Shorts Gardens also offers an array of relaxing and maintenance treatments for men only.
