Celebrate NYE with the all-star lineup and remember the best of 2015 and look forward to the new year!
Fresh off the tails of their UK tour, the electronic music duo Bondax have come a long way since their initial appearances on BBC Radio One Introducing. Their unique blend of house, post-dubstep, R&B, and garage should provide the perfect party sound track to headline our revered NYE party.
They will be joined by recent OWSLA signee and jackin’ house spinner Chris Lorenzo who steps up for the count down – his hybrid bassline sound is sure to show in the New Year with a bang. Roche Musique man Darius will be on hand for warm up duties. Support comes from The Nest and Canal Mills resident Grainger.
Cheap tickets already sold out so don’t want any longer!
What first brought you to east London?
A desire for discovery, music, fun, people, ideas and unearthing the strange. The Griffin was almost poetic on my first visit, it’s fantastic how the once ordinary becomes fascinating and unique.
Where do you think is hot at the moment for arts, going out and eating?
Considering the pop up nature of food and drink almost anywhere, this weekend I was at The Horniman museum where a farmers market features diversity such as; Barbican; a hairdressing stall alongside, Sri Lankan curries and Mr Muffin who delivers Savouries by a custom made bicycle, complete with handlebar moustache. On art I’m heading over to the RA for the summer show that looks great, otherwise just roaming, feeds me.
What are you favourite three cities around the world and why?
London, Berlin and New York, whilst not too much differential in the dynamics between these three, it’s the abundance of humans, creativity, output and ideas that keep me excited about visits there.
Horns & whistles at the ready party people! Carnival is back YMH are teaming up with they’re good friends at American Apparel to bring you one hell of night to remember! Not only will they be fully covering the night but they will also be heading down with a ton of giveaways to make your carnival weekend even more special!
The line up will be giving serious riddims all night to continue the carnival vibe.

SPECIAL GUEST: MS DYNAMITE
The Phonica birthday is always a special event. This year, it will be held at the newly refurbished XOYO just near Old St roundabout. It’s been 9 years since the record store opened back in 2003 and it’s not one to be missed.
Everyone is hyped for the the legendary OMAR S as headliner for the birthday. The Detroit-based producer is a rare example of how things should be in underground dance music: raw, authentic and hype-free. His FXHE imprint has become a phenomenon – and one that is synonymous with something Phonica firmly believes in – VINYL! As you may have guessed from his Fabric Mix CD, Omar S will probably be highlighting his own productions in his set – deep, dark, moody house music at its best!
Next up, and currently taking the world by storm, come the Bicep duo. Their ‘Vision of Love’ twelve has become Phonica’s biggest seller this year with its clipped garage beats and 90s house sound. not only have they given us one of the most followed house music blogs out there (‘Feel My Bicep’), but they continue to show why they are the most in-demand DJs at the moment. With support from the incredible French madman Ivan Smagghe this is not one to be missed.
And all this with support from the Phonica DJs too. See you on the dancefloor.
